Each home is different and can require a unique gutter solution, and not having gutters can cause serious damage to your home. For example, a garage door can become damaged as a direct result of not having a gutter. Over time the water dripping from the roof splashes on the ground keeping the door wet eventually causing rot. To replace this garage door would cost just over $2,000.00. The price of a gutter over the garage door with a downspout cost only $150.00

The Solution! Have seamless gutters installed. By installing seamless gutters of either 5″ or 6″ size, we can divert the water from your roof line to areas of your home where the water will not cause damage or dangerous ice patches in the winter.
Most homes have standard 5” gutters installed. In some cases it is necessary to install 6” oversized gutters on some homes or as seen in the picture on the left just portions of a home.

Old is a relative term, especially when it comes to the life of a gutter system. Typically gutters between 10 and 20 years old were installed with spike and ferrules, which secure the gutter to the home. These gutters are often a lighter weight/ gauge .027 gutter, which easily dents or dips with the weight of a ladder or debris in the gutter.
After 10 years or more, these spikes become loose due to expanding and contraction of the aluminium, and begin working their way out of the wood and gutter. If you can see space between the head of the spike and the gutter, your system is running out of time. The spikes loose their strength the further they pull away from the gutter. Once there is a compromise in the strength of the gutter, it is just a matter of time before the gutter falls down, full of debris, ice or water often causing damage to the home or property.

Gutter Guards

Rain Chains
Rain chains are a beautiful and functional alternative to traditional downspouts. Guiding rain water visibly down chains or cups from the roof to the ground, a rainchain transforms a plain gutter downspout into a pleasing water feature.
From the soft tinkling of individual droplets to the soothing rush of white water, they are a treat to listen to.
Splash Blocks
Splash blocks are lightweight enough to move easily, heavy enough to stay in place.
A splash block placed beneath the downspout elbow helps to disperse water away from the foundation.

Rain Barrels
A Rain Barrel is a storage tank used to gather and store rainwater, typically from rooftops through the gutters and downspouts.
Use rain barrels or catchers to collect and store rainwater from rooftops for lawn and garden use. Rain barrels can also conserve water, help reduce water bills, and reduce pollution by reducing stormwater runoff.
Downspout Extensions
Downspout extensions bend around obstacles to divert rainwater. These flexible downspout extensions adjust to your landscape: if bushes are in the way, just bend this extender around them; to extend it further from your house or all the way through shrubs, “telescope” it between 25″ and 55″.
For longer lengths, two or more snap together easily. Bend it up for mowing. Can be buried, if desired.
Cut & Drop
We offer a service called a ‘cut and drop.’ This service is quite simple; we make the gutter and downspout to the size that you need and come to your house and drop it off. You must provide the measurements and we will supply the materials.
Disclaimer: There is a downside to the cut and drop service. Because B&B Gutters did not install the gutter and downspout on your home, you do not get our warranty. We only supply you with the materials, and you do the rest. Also, cut and drop orders that are less than $300 will not get delivered to your home; customers must come to our office and pick the order up.
